Hell's Bells
Hell's Bells--Does God Hear the Bells in Hell
Have you ever wondered what the heck that statement "Hell's Bells" means? I have. There are a lot of different meanings from stupification after a hangover to a treatment made from a yellow flowers found in your backyard to a 16th Century poem.
Honestly, I have never heard it used in any of those instances. My thought was why the hell are there bells in hell? And who is ringing them... right?
"Get me out of here! I need water! There is a pitch fork up my ass and it hurts!"
Shoot, I'd be ringing a bell, if I knew someone would answer it. The question is: Does God hear the voice of those in hell?
You know, many in Bible doctrine land would say, God hears, but can't help someone who is in hell. My heart hurts when I hear that kind of thinking. I don't believe that there is ever a time when God doesn't know that we want to change and will help us out of our own personal hell.
So, that being said, what is the difference to God, if God is spirit, if one is dead or alive? If a soul is repentant and feels it has gone in the wrong direction, the likelihood of a loving Father, is to save His child.
I recently had a friend whose son committed suicide. It was a horrible day for everyone. And I'll tell you, there is no consoling a parent whose loss is that deep. But you can see that if a parent here on earth would go to the ends of the earth to save his/her child's soul, What in heaven and earth would the Greatest Love of All Do?
I ask myself: God are you big enough to save the world? And the answer is always YES! Jesus himself, the bible says, went to hell before he rose heaven. What does that speak to you?
