Morning Meditation
Morning Solitude: So many sages choose the early morning for their meditation time, because it is the perfect time before your mind begins to deduct. Just as you wake up, your mind is still likely to dream and float away with freedom, into calmness and delight as Spirit intended. I would recommend getting up 1/2 hour earlier than usual, put on some calming, meditative music, and sitting or stretching on the floor for 30 minutes. Get in touch with your body. It, too, needs your attention and good "intentions" for the day, as this is the time to set them. It won't be hard to imagine and play with dreams as a child would. If you find yourself getting still and listening, go with that. Typically, I set an alarm. I have an app on my IPhone that is called Insight Timer, which will play a gong or bell when my time is through.
