Self Exploration

If you've want to find out what you're really thinking, become An observer of your own life. Watch what you say. Observe what you do. Question your own thoughts. You may see someone different than you thought you were.

Self exploration begins with what some might call "self talk" or "self coaching." When you see a behavior that is old or you would like to change, you gently tell yourself something positive: "Smoking helped me get through the loss of my father, but it's only making it hard to breath fresh air now." "Isolation was all I had to protect me when my parents fought, but now I have friends and loved ones I can reach out to." Remember to rise above the old thoughts, because they are a steady stream, like old film crackling in the background of your life. You deserve better than constant reruns!
