The Source Code

The Source Code

In the past fifty years of my life, I’ve spent many long hours wondering if my good will ever arrive. I have also spent even more long hours worrying about the good that I have already received, being swept away like a tsunami.

After many years of spiritual study and therapy, I decided that this course of thought came from a deep misunderstanding of my own self worth—that I thought I wasn’t good enough for great things to happen to me—through me. Lately, I’ve reconsidered all of my thinking and have come to a new concept.

We are humans with human thoughts. These human thoughts are like the imprint left on the pages beneath the top page of a tablet. There may be no visual markings on the pages beneath, but there are signs that something has been written there. With the right ink wash, all of that which had been written on the top page can become revealed.  This is no fault of the paper lying there innocently beneath the top sheet. The evidence of what is written beneath the top page is just cause and effect. Our human brains also have cause and effects from past events in our lives.

Yes, we are an amalgam of the input from the many things that have happened to us throughout our lives. But much more importantly, we are conduits of a greater power flowing through us from a source power—God. This power can undo and change the thinking and the input from our pasts like none other. It can make sense of the old challenges and bring to light deep pain and make sense of it.

Recently, I was in a place in my life in which I felt more comfortable and loving than ever before. I wondered, subconsciously, when it would all come crashing down on me and be taken away. I prayed to God: “I don’t want to think like this anymore. Please help me understand a better way.”

The answer was simple, the voice quiet and loving: “No one here on this earth is the key to your happiness, Bo. Joy, love, peace, and prosperity, are all coming from the Source of all Good. People and things in your life are just conduits of all these things. Keep your eyes focused on Me, on the Source of your good, and trust in my unconditional love for you. When one conduit chooses not to be there, or is taken away become of a loss, there is a reason. More good may need to come to you and the conduit just wasn’t big enough or eager enough to let your good through. Believe you are my child, a child of the Most High, receiving only the best and greatest. Then wait for the many way your good will come. Don’t limit Love. Don’t limit prosperity. Don’t limit God!”

So, don’t close off from love and prosperity, because you are afraid that you are going to lose love. Love can’t be lost. People may come and go from your life. Jobs and money may come and go. But prosperity is coming from God and is stored in a place where no human can steal it away from you. Keep your mind and eyes affixed on Source, where all good comes.
