Cloudy days like today make me go way inside myself. Sometimes I feel like hibernating, crawling into bed and staying there all day until the sun comes out again. Some would say I probably have seasonal disorder. I would have to agree. I’d imagine, judging from all the complaints about the weather, that most of us have a certain degree of this disorder. Nonetheless, there is a plan in the making.

If we spent our entire life outside our thoughts, there would be no deliberating our actions and designs. That would make for some narcissistic people in this world. I don’t know about you, but I need a few hours like this to reflect back on life and think about my actions, others actions, what’s going on in the world, to just gain some intrinsic perspective on life.

Today my thoughts go back to the week I just experienced. It was a rather innocuous week in my life. However, those around me experienced much tribulation. There were jail sentences, strange marriages to one-week Internet romances, deadly illnesses, bed-ridden sicknesses, job losses, the fall-out from Japan and the tsunami, and some strange medicine reaction my mother was having. Many of my clients were sick, as well, and going through some tribulation.

If we don’t take time to process what is going on in our world, we tend to shoulder or internalize the very things that surround us. That’s not  be a good scenario. Days like today—overcast and cold—force me to take some much needed time to process what is going on in my world.
